Toll Free Calling Now Available!

We have good news to announce!! Calls placed between any Hill Country Telephone exchanges are now toll free.

Hill Country petitioned the Public Utility Commission for Extended Area Service (EAS) in order that residents and business entities located within Hill Country’s service area could call one another without incurring long distance charges. In addition to PUC approval, the filing process also included approval from all county commissioners’ courts throughout our entire service area of fourteen counties.

Here’s how it works.

To place a call within the same area code, simply dial the 7-digit telephone number.

Example: A customer placing a call from our Ingram Exchange (367-xxxx) to our Medina Exchange would dial 589-xxxx.

To place a call from an 830 to 325 area code number, or vice versa, simply dial the 10-digit telephone number including the area code.

Example: A customer placing a call from our Ingram Exchange (830-367-xxxx) to our Pontotoc Exchange would dial 325-251-xxxx.

You no longer have to dial 1+ to complete a call within any Hill Country Telephone exchange.
