HCTC donated to Mercy Gate MinistriesHCTC’s participation in CoBank’s 2020 Sharing Success Program will result in a total charitable contribution of $20,000 to local organizations. “In these uncertain times, HCTC wants to ensure that the most vulnerable in our communities are supported,” says HCTC CEO Craig Cook. “During this COVID-19 pandemic, we know that the abused in our communities have felt trapped in their homes. That’s why we wanted to give to nonprofit organizations that specifically help women and children escape abusive environments.”

HCTC donated $2,500 each to Mercy Gate Ministries (Ingram Magdalene House), Arms of Hope (Medina Children’s Home), The Grace Center in Fredericksburg and the Hill Country Crisis Center. With a matching grant from CoBank, each of these organizations received a total of $5,000.

“We are thankful for the matching gifts to these organizations through CoBank’s 2020 Sharing Success Program,” says Cook. “Through this program, we’re helping women and children in Kerr, Kendall, Kimble, Gillespie and Bandera counties. We are committed to giving back to our communities,” Cook says. “We appreciate the continued support of the cooperative and our customers during these uncertain times.”
