Smart Rural Community
HCTC remains committed to keeping rural Texans connected.

Did you know that HCTC has received the Smart Rural Community Designation (SRC) by the NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association? We have put millions of dollars into our rural communities and continue to do so every year. Because of this, we can assure our customers they have the same, if not better, Internet service than people in more urban areas. Our commitment provides access to better education opportunities, global access, and local economic growth so our customers can compete in a global economy. At HCTC, we enable and equip rural Texans by connecting them to the rest of the world.

As a member of the Smart Rural Community (SRC), we work around the clock to keep small-town Texas connected, and we work on Internet connection projects that help improve local economics. We provide technology for advancing education by creating infrastructure in the communities we serve so that learning never stops. In addition, we provide state-of-the-art health care through the use of telemedicine. These initiatives, among others, connect our rural communities and keep them marching forward with a strong infrastructure.

Also, HCTC is honored to be one of only four Smart Rural Community Showcase Award Winners in the nation! At HCTC, we remain committed to our customers, our children’s education, and supporting their dreams of higher education.
